Recovered

BurgerTime was recovered from an undocumented year and has been catalogued under vertical trespass. Attribution on the original paperwork reads “Data East Corporation.” The specimen was preserved by the Internet Archive and is emulated here in its original form — no installation, no account, no explanation required.

Field notes describe BurgerTime as better than whatever you were doing. Recommended dosage: one sitting. This file circulates quietly — consider yourself among the few.

Original label: BurgerTime is a 1982 arcade game created by Data East Corporation for its DECO Cassette System. The game's original title, Hamburger, was changed to BurgerTime before its introduction to the United States. The player is chef Peter Pepper, who must walk over hamburger ingredients located across a maze of platforms while avoiding pursuing characters.

Curator’s note: the Bureau does not certify fairness, only availability.
